The AusSMC started a new initiative in 2012, the Science-Media Collaboration. This initiative is designed to encourage greater engagement between organisations that work in scientific research and the news media.
The AusSMC plays a key role in facilitating this relationship and aims to work even more closely with institutions and media outlets in future, bringing the two often disparate communities closer together.
Who is eligible?
The Science-Media Collaboration is open to all institutions whose primary roles involve the production or dissemination of evidence-based science.
Those eligible to become an Affiliate of the program include universities, research institutions and CRCs. There are two levels of affiliation.
By becoming an Affiliate, institutions receive tangible benefits while also ensuring the essential, public-good services of the Science Media Centre can be maintained.
For further information on the benefits of becoming an Affiliate, please contact us on 08 7120 8665 or by email.
